Buddy the Dinosaur
Buddy the Dinosaur from the PBS KIDS show Dinosaur Train will make good on a promise and help the Da Vinci Science Center present the Rainforest Adventure feature exhibition by appearing at the Center on the exhibition’s opening day – Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015.

Buddy was scheduled to appear at the Da Vinci Science Center during the Center’s PBS39 Earth Day Party in April 2015, but found himself on a special last-minute adventure. While Sid the Science Kid, star of a popular PBS KIDS series of his own, stepped in for Buddy and delighted fans, Buddy promised he would appear at the Da Vinci Science Center. Friends from PBS39 Lehigh Valley helped Buddy and the Center arrange this special appearance. Fans who said that they wanted to be the first to know about Buddy’s rescheduled appearance received an exclusive announcement by e-mail on Monday.

The lovable and insatiably curious little T-Rex will greet visitors and pose for photos on Oct. 10 from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., and hopes to explore the maze-style rainforest that kids will be able to explore at the Da Vinci Science Center through Jan. 18, 2016. Buddy’s appearance and the Rainforest Adventure exhibition will be included with a paid admission ticket or Center membership. Tickets are $12.95 each for visitors ages 3 and up and can be purchased on the web at davincisciencecenter.org/tickets. Rainforest Adventure is sponsored at the Center by ATAS International, Inc., and C.F. Martin & Co., Inc., manufacturer of the famous Martin Guitars.

Buddy will feel comfortable inside a rainforest as scientists have noted that dinosaurs roamed areas in the Amazon millions of years ago. Presented as a maze, Rainforest Adventure encourages kids to leap, jump, hang, climb, and explore a virtual rainforest through more than 40 playful challenges. As they explore the maze, kids learn about these valuable environments and how to protect them. Both ATAS and the Martin company will present their own sustainability stories along with the exhibition.
